**** Our Dream Grows: We sponsor a community event for the children of Salem called The Annual Salem Halloween Children's Day. October 10th 2009 saw 2,500 people attended the event. We work with Dominic Benvenuti of Domino's Pizza to make this day happen. Each year we sponsor 7 days of live music on an outdoor stage. We will give away 10,000 cups of free hot cocoa. All this is done to create an atmosphere of grace in downtown Salem, and provide a place to reach out to people. Next to our stage we set our ministry tents, and from these ministry tents we will council 2,000-3,000 individually and personally on spirituality, and seeking God. Our creative methods for talking with people include
Dream Interpretation in the manner of the prophet
Daniel, Psalm Readings from the scriptures which
at first glance appear to be Palm Readings, and
a Confessional Booth modeled after the book "Blue
Like Jazz." From this location we increased the number of ministry teams providing Dream Interpretation, Psalm Readings, and confessional Booth experiences. We've also held events such as movies combined with discussion times, and full feasts during the Halloween season. Keep your eyes peeled for events this 2010 year. Our focus is to share the love and the power of our Lord Jesus Christ through these means which captivate the hearts of the people visiting Salem for Halloween. A Little Church, and a Lot of Work: Our small group has sponsored these events only with the help of many friends in the community, and volunteers from around the United States. People from Ohio, California, Florida, and New Hampshire come to join us in outreach. Local churches join us to lend a hand. The city has given us the best location possible for our outdoor stage, and has recognized our work as a benefit to the community. Yet the work is still over our head, and your help would be another way of making this dream grow. We need people who pray to join us in asking for God's Spirit to move in Grace and Power as we continue to expand this minsitry.
